On the afternoon of May 16, 2026, the three-day 2026 2nd Hangzhou International Humanoid Robot & Robotics Technology Exhibition (referred to as Hangzhou Humanoid Robot Exhibition) concluded successfully at Hangzhou Grand Convention & Exhibition Center.
As China’s first professional procurement event focusing on the full industrial chain of humanoid robots, the exhibition centered on its core mission of reshaping the complete industrial chain of embodied intelligent humanoid robots. Aligned with the milestone of 2026 as the mass-production year for robots, it delivered outstanding industrial outcomes. The event fully demonstrated the leapfrog progress of China’s humanoid robot industry from technological breakthroughs to large-scale commercial application, and further consolidated Hangzhou’s core standing as Asia’s trendsetter for the humanoid robot sector.

The exhibition achieved comprehensive scale upgrades with increasingly prominent industrial agglomeration effects. Covering a total exhibition area of 30,000 square meters, it brought together 473 leading domestic and overseas enterprises as well as top research institutions. The event fully covered the entire industrial chain, including core components such as bionic actuators, joint modules, high-precision six-axis force sensors and AI computing chips, as well as complete robot manufacturing, system integration and scenario-based applications. It comprehensively showcased technological iterations and supporting capabilities of China’s domestic humanoid robot industrial chain.
During the exhibition, the organiser hosted supporting events including the Hangzhou Humanoid Robot Conference, the industrial matchmaking campaign "Ten Industrial Chains, Hundred Sessions, Ten Thousand Enterprises", and more than 40 high-end forums and cross-border targeted matchmaking sessions for China-Japan, China-South Korea, China-Europe and other regions. Over 500 domestic and overseas industry media outlets provided full coverage, forming an omni-channel communication system integrating online and offline platforms and fostering a profound, professional atmosphere for industrial exchanges.

The exhibition yielded fruitful business matchmaking results and delivered robust momentum for industrial commercialization. By the closing day, the event had attracted a total of 83,619 professional visitors, including 3,178 overseas attendees. A total of 237 letters of intent were signed alongside 56 major cooperative projects, with the total intended transaction volume exceeding 21.3 billion RMB. All core indicators far outperformed those of the inaugural edition.
Signed collaborations spanned core component supply, customized mass production of complete robots, joint development of application scenarios, and collaborative technological R&D. The event precisely matched demands between upstream and downstream industry players, effectively facilitating the integration of premium resources including technology, talent, capital and markets, and injecting strong impetus into the large-scale development of the humanoid robot industry.

As an important open platform connecting global industrial resources, this exhibition was co-hosted by Zhejiang Robotics Industry Development Association and Golden Exhibition Group. Focused on cross-border trade cooperation, it innovatively adopted the model of pre-demand matching plus one-on-one closed-door negotiations, greatly boosting the efficiency of international collaboration. Country-specific matchmaking sessions ran throughout the show, with overseas purchasing delegations carrying targeted demands to connect with outstanding domestic manufacturers. Among them, Japanese industrial associations arrived with procurement demands for precision reducers, micro motors and other products, generating intended cooperation value exceeding 50 million US dollars. Multiple South Korean system integrators signed long-term supply agreements with domestic sensor and vision module manufacturers, establishing direct overseas channels for Chinese robot enterprises and facilitating two-way integrated development of the industry at home and abroad.
Meanwhile, the exhibition balanced professional exchanges with popular science outreach, bringing cutting-edge technology closer to the general public. Over the three-day event, live demonstrations including synchronized dancing by humanoid robot arrays, human-machine interactive basketball shooting and multi-robot collaborative handling were staged in rotation. A popular science interactive zone opened for teenagers, delivering immersive experiences featuring professional lectures and hands-on operation sessions to popularize knowledge of embodied intelligence. It created a diverse tech experience integrating exhibition viewing, interaction and learning, substantially raising public awareness and influence of the humanoid robot industry.
Leveraging Hangzhou’s strengths as a hub for digital economy and smart manufacturing, the exhibition fully proved the accelerating maturation of China’s domestic humanoid robot industrial chain. Core component bottlenecks that long restricted industrial growth are being gradually resolved, marking the industry’s entry into a new high-quality development phase featuring independent technology, mass production and widespread commercial scenarios. The exhibition’s industrial empowering effect will continue to unfold in the long run. Organizers will further upgrade exhibition quality, expand scale and optimize service systems to build a globally influential platform for humanoid robot trade exchanges, technological innovation and resource matchmaking. The event will return in 2027 for its third edition, inviting industrial partners worldwide to gather in Hangzhou, explore new opportunities in embodied intelligence, and jointly draw a blueprint for the leap-forward development of the humanoid robot sector.
